The FRs are priced at about Euro 80, and the F1
Custom is about Euro 150 (retail) The Swedish Audio
mag "HiFi and Musik" (note Dave, how the two are
inseprable:-) judged the F1s to be the best stereo
pair under SKr 2000 (that's about Euro 200)

Your blinkers are rather obvious again, Iain.

Plenty low cost speakers can sound 'ok' on pop music but fall down
horribly on speech.

But for this app. they need to be decent all rounders.

Since you always extol the virtues of DAB you'll no doubt be listening to Radio
4 transmitted at 128 kbps then. Presumably you'll be wanting speakers that
magically restore all the information that's lost when broadcasting at that
****ty bit rate so you can get the 'good quality speech' you claim to want. LMAO!

I've no experience with modern small speakers. However FWIW a recent issue
of HFW does 'review' sic? the Q Acoustics 2020 (140 quid). The plotted
response looks OK.
