Default DVD+RW to DVDROM?

Does anyone know of any software which will 'change' a DVD+RW to a DVDROM
*after* burning?

Versions 5.50 and later or Nero give you the option to change the booktype
of +RW discs after writing. So will DVDBitsetter....see
http://www.dvdplusrw.org/Article.asp...&sid=-1&aid=42 for an article on
the subject, and details of how to get bitsetter. The way you wrote *after"
burning sounds like you meant +R discs? As far as I know, this is
impossible.

Nice one, Angry Bob - I posted the question to make a bit of a point
'off-list'.

(I actually change +RWs on a routine basis, to be able to use them in a Pana
E50 ...!!)

You are quite right about Nero - it allows you to set Book Type at the time
of burning (don't know about DVDBitsetter - don't use it). But DVDINFOPro
(freeware - see http://www.dvdinfopro.com/ ) enables you to change Book Type
in only a few moments (and back again without limits) on a previously-burned
+RW (only). The only proviso is that the burner must be a Ricoh or
Ricoh-based derivative. (I believe you are also correct that it is
impossible to change the Book Type on a +R.)

Thanks for the handy link and taking the trouble to answer my rather 'odd'
post.

Audio content? - I had a record playing when I posted the original
question.....

;-)
