Replacement belt for a Dual 505-4
I've just been given a broken one of these - first problem is the belt
is cracked, rigid, like plastic. Never seen likes before. I've written to the manufacturer in Germany (they still make them it seems) - does anyone have a preferred supplier as an alternative? Thanks, Rob |

Here in Australia, there are several sources. Prices range from around AUS$6.00. Dunno about other places. Seek out a trade supplier to repair organisations. They'll likely stock a wide range of belts, one of which will be suitable. -- Trevor Wilson www.rageaudio.com.au |

I've just bought one for £6 from a well rated ebay seller, see how that goes. Thanks anyway, Rob |

Much better to locate a suitable supplier to the trade. -- Trevor Wilson www.rageaudio.com.au |

This ebay seller has 30000 odd positive feedback selling largeley turntable bits. Thought it might be a chance worth taking given the TT has thrown up a few other problems. Rob |

No, £6 plus post, about £8, on ebay - the alternatives from (so far as i could tell) trade outlets were £20. The manufacturer hasn't replied. They still make the 505-4, sells for USD800. Rob |

Stuff in Australian is generally less expensive, than in the UK, but not by that much. The manufacturer hasn't replied. **Nor are they likely to. Back up service ain't what it once was with European companies. They still make the 505-4, sells for USD800. **How about that? Still a decent TT. Price is a bit high though. -- Trevor Wilson www.rageaudio.com.au |
