Halfords goes hi-fi!

So one Sunday morning you splash out on some drive units, but they won't fit
in your car. That's all right though, 'cos you've got a garden, an spl
meter and a bloke who knows where he can get some veneer cheap. Et vóila!
They're...

Or perhaps I'm being a little ungenerous. They do /look/ good after all.

They say "Biwireable" yet the picture clearly shows single wire terminals.

I don't think they look good - an ugly, old-fashioned finish - but then I
guess they're built for "classical/live music appreciation" and therefore
any potential buyers would be old farts who live in dark and dingy homes,
obviously.

Lovely looking website though - really professional :o/

And they might sound lovely.

I presume that an spl meter is to test sensitivity. If so, where can I
get hold of one, and how are they used?

Sorry to ask what may be basic questions. I've not come across any for
sale (e.g in the Maplins catalogue) but I'd like to be able to test my
current speakers before an amplication upgrade.

Try your local branch of TLC Electrical wholesale
(http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk).

Cheers.

James.
