Wireless Speakers?
Hi.
New around these parts, but I wanted to ask if anyone here knows anything about wireless speakers. I want something to use in conjunction with my PC, not as surrounds for a tv system. Most seem to be set up for this (surround). There don't seem to be that many options in terms of battery powered wireless speakers. Ross seem to make a pair that are relatively high profile on sellers like ebay. Does anyone have, or know anything about these wierless speakers by Ross? Any other advice welcome. Thanks. |

I have Creative FPS 2000- sounds a bit tinny and the "mid"woofer is a bit crap, but it does the job for PC gaming. I would buy a better setup if you're planning on high-quality music playback. |

We have a couple of sets of small no-name wireless speakers that use a
frequency somewhere around 800 mhz, plugged into the hifi amplifier (which in turn is connected inter alia to a digital satellite receiver tuned for BBC radio via an Astra satellite). They are excellent for listening to speech on the radio but hopeless for reproducing music, which is horribly distorted - perhaps some kind of bandwidth problem. They're toys, and terrible quality. |
