Been fixing one of these for a pal. He said it cost the thick end of 1000
quid new - and I wondered where the money was spent. Makes like Quad and even Naim have chunky bespoke ally castings for the faceplate etc - the Linn is simply pressed steel and plastic. Switches etc neither look or feel good - and the display is poor. Not enough characters to make full names. It works well enough - but looks more like budget Taiwan than top end UK.
