of 7 Mirage 3s ( left over from the 6 Day War !! ) 5 Mirage 5s and 34
refurbished ex USMC A4 Skyhawks.

All the rests are non combat types and few helicopters.

This is the thing. We no longer have any aircraft carriers or Harriers
to fly from them, so our only real defensive option is long range
missiles. Tactical targets are out of the question for those. They
would have to be strategic. It would get messy.

Buenos Aires is a pretty static target. A 100 kiloton yield device
should do the trick nicely [1]
