Upsampling experments
Just to let people know I've just put up a short page on using a computer
to experiment with 'upsampling' using various methods. The page is at http://www.audiomisc.co.uk/software/...psampling.html It also gives links to two example programs. One plays audio files on a suitable computer, applying a user-selected upsampling filter. The other generates an x2 upsampled wave file from an input file. Note that the current programs only run on a modern ARM machine running RISC OS, but I've included the source code in 'C'. Plan to do Linux versions sometime, but did these because the machine I'm using runs RO and has 96k/24bit hardware. That combined with becoming interested in using digital filters in place of ye olde analogue filters. FWIW I've now moved on to playing using a 192k/24bit USB DAC, so experiments will continue. In effect DIY reconstruction filtering for anyone curious to experiment. Cheers, Jim -- Please use the address on the audiomisc page if you wish to email me.
