I gather it's a bit of a mashup, using the original 1963 Richard Burton
narration, not the 2003 version, but the rest of the parts are as in the
2003 version.

Damn, I missed it. I've tried it since in iPlayer. Stereo only.
The website suggests you can listen in surround for the next 30 days
if you have suitable equipment.
I don't know why the BBC hasn't released it on DVD - I would have bought
a copy.

The 2003 stereo version on which this was based is available on CD, as
is the 1963 mono original.

My equipment is certainly suitable, but iPlayer doesn't offer a
surround option.
