Mac playback sample rate

Hello all,

I just bought a DAC Magic 100 to connect to my iMac. When connected via
USB it indicates a 96kHz sample rate at all times, whether playing or
not - including when playing 44.1kHz material. Presumably the Mac is
upconverting. Is there any way to stop this?

Try Audio Midi Setup. It should be found in your Utilities folder.

I forget the details now - it was some years back - but I used
Soundflower to fix that and deal with a couple of other Mac curiosities.
