hanging posting and taking a couple tries updating groups it WAS getting

The gist is this, although the server hardware was near its
replacement date, it failed unexpectedly and had to be replaced. It
took a while to build it and get the software working initially
under a different name, ie reader in place of news, but now its all
propagated through to the DNS servers I think and its working as
before. However I do occasionally notice it drops the connecting and needs
a
prod, whether this is just configuration, I'm not sure. I'm using a
different sever as my main one and ES as back up on this machine ere..
