Severely overpriced compared to Watford Valves.

I have no desire for valves in either hi-fi equipment or instrument
amplifiers, so I don't have any personal experience of whether there
might be a difference between valves, but this might be of interest
(it's from the POV of intrument amp users, not hi-fi):

In Ham radio and CB people are being encouraged to get a microphone powered
from a 1 valve amplifier. Seems a little silly when 1 fet could do the job.
they claim lots of plusses but considering the bandwidth used by comms its
all a little academic if you have a few dbs less noise at the high end.

Back in the day, we found that Mazda versions of some valves were more
constant in linearity and gain than the Mullard version, but who knows why.
this was for RF circuits and was probably better to have known performance
but often you could put any make in and get away with it in an average
telly. EF184s were the main ones.
