The surprise is how long it takes. It might be better to buy the CDs and spend the same amount of time working overtime. Where women are concerned it's not the thought but the price that counts. Goldwave does a good job of declicking, fading in and out, rumble filtering. -- Roger. |

Dad got a new hifi with no turntable so I said, "don't worry, I'll copy all your old records onto CD for you!". Big mistake! Took me a few weeks doing a few albums each evening to transfer about 40 albums or so. The end result was ok - dad was happy but I'd not recommend it. Have you considered sending them off to one of these online LP to CD sites. I've used "Your Music On CD" (www.indicativeit.co.uk/yourmusiconcd) a few times and found them to be very good. Each album comes on it's own CD with seperate tracks, clicks and jumps removed, CD cases and all the labels. Might be a bit expensive to send them all your wive's records but you could just send off her favourite ones. Looks like they are running a christmas promotion at the moment as well so even better!
