I understand they no longer service the original ESL. Can't see Peter Walker ever allowing that. -- *Never miss a good chance to shut up.* Dave Plowman London SW 12 RIP Acorn |

I took my Quad 67 CD player to Huntingdon to be serviced recently, and was pleased to see that things seem to be carrying on as usual, albeit in a smaller facility. Pricing for service work is extremely reasonable; £40 fixed labour cost per item plus materials used. Regarding servicing the original ESL, I am not aware of whether that is still being carried out, or otherwise. The ESL-63 is certainly still being serviced, and a pair were being despatched back to their original owners on the day that I was there. -- Anthony Edwards |
