yes they are the same like a small headphone socket.

Then you have two options. you can either connect the TV to the red/black
scockets marked R/L, or you can connect it to the 3.5mm (headphone) socket
marked front. The other three are digtal sockets, I very much doubt your tv
can use them.

So it depends which your computer plugs into, and which is still free. If
all you have on your tv to get a signal from is a headphone jack you need
ethier a 3.5mm -- 3.5mm lead or a 3.5mm -- 2phono. I wouldn't bother with
anything costing over £5 for your setup.
