Thats wrong. Heres why:

If there is that much quoting before the reply there is a problem and the poster obviously need to learn how to edit out useless content.

Also, interspersed replies (where appropriate) are much more useful than either top or bottom posting.

Lastly, now bandwidth is generally cheap, its wasteful of resources to quote huge gobs of junk, and bottom posting encourages this.
