Nope, I have a Krell and an 8000P.

Don't believe any 8000Ss were available with lower serial numbers. IIRC the
lettering used on later models corresponded with the lettering reached by
earlier models, so as "E" 8000A would have been around at roughly the same
time as a "E" 8000S. I don't think there were any "A", "B" or "C" 8000Ss,
although open to correction on this.
