Just got back into it myself Richard, although to my eternal shame, I've
gone down the AV route.

My speakers are ancient, (don't laugh) Wharfdale E90's, bought in my young
and foolish days and even though my missus has begged me to get rid of what
she describes as the coffins, I can't bear to part with them :-(

Ah well, they say HiFi is one of the most subjective hobbies there is.

As for advice, as you can see, I'm far from qualified to give it ;-)
