Not all industrial adhesives are the same. Performance and quality
vary according to design and cost. Adhesives are often used where they
provide better performance than traditional fixing methods.

Can't comment specifically on Arcams use of adhesive tape, but if it
was chosen with the care they apply to the rest of their design then I
think it will do the job well.



Yes, much as I don't like the idea of 'double-sided sticky' tape myself, it
simply isn't reasonable to dismiss the use of such adhesives in industrial
(or construction) situations - for instance, most modern cars rely on
adhesives in dozens of different places, starting with the 'rear view
mirror' which is usually just stuck to the windscreen and they will subject
the 'stuck' components to far more stress and heat than a simple bit of hifi
kit........
