We don't ignore e-mails. AFAIAC they are a cheaper quicker method of
communication...


Oh I'd agree with you. But for some reason, many companies don't. Perhaps
it's because it's all too easy for a punter to send an e-mail, whereas
other methods require more effort and therefore are regarded more
seriously.

I find a fax is often the best way, since at one time these were reserved
for business use and will go direct to someone in authority. E-mail seems
to be handled by juniors before passing them on - if indeed they do.

I know none of this makes logical sense, but then again neither do some
businesses. ;-)
