Are you suggesting that the TDL has a boosted bass response?
Or are you just saying that you can't cope with any loudspeaker
that has a well-extended flat bass response?
If the latter, there's no hope for you. :-)

Is it a bass-reflex cabinet?
If so, a sock in the port helps.
