Default Hello valve lovers, wherever you are.

Well, he may stick his neck out a bit but he's a good designer with a
long industry pedigree - several years with Tektronix.
Under-educated, no. Opinionated - well, compared to folks on this
ng., I'd call him excessively polite!

If Lynn Olsen tried to pass of crap like that cited in this thread at
Tektronix, he'd have been thrown out on his ear.

Maybe that's why he's not there any more, eh?

When solid state electronics replaced tubes, some designers just couldn't
cope...

Ironically, Lynn Olsen posts test results
http://www.aloha-audio.com/triode1.html based on using a Tektronix SG505
(all solid state) signal generator.

Ironically, Lynn Olsen posts test results
http://www.aloha-audio.com/triode1.html based on using a Hewlett-Packard
8535A (all solid state) spectrum analyzer!

Ironically, Lynn Olsen brags at http://www.aloha-audio.com/triode1.html
about his experience in the Tektronix spectrum analyzer division, and then
posts results made with a HP spectrum analyzer.

I really think we ought to follow what Lynn Olson does, and not what he
says...

LOL!
