Hi,

I have a Sugden Connoisseur BD2 turntable in need of a motor
suspension
kit.

Anyone help me with a supplier please ?

I've tried Technical and General in Crowborough but no one is
answering
the phone ! Any alternative suppliers ?

mtia,

Steve

Steve - I don't think you will find a source for spares - however, if
it's
just the elastic bands that need replacing - then I would just buy a
packet
from WH Smith - pick he 3 smallest, double or treble them and fit them
(you
need to remove the suspension plate from the deck first, of course!).
It's a
relatively easy job that I have done many times with my BD2 (which I
have
had since the 1970s)and I have had no problems with it
hope that helps
Cheers
Andy

Hi Andy,

I must admit, I'd thought of trying that, but elastic bands just don't
last very long. I would like to try to find the correct part if poss. It's
such a great turntable, it would be a shame to have to replace it for the
sake of a piece of rubber !!!
