I know what you mean. A few years back I wnet to an open air classical
concert at a nearby country house, expecting to treat my ears to real live
instruments. I was gob smacked to see the entire orchestra mic up ( with
what looked like SM58s) and fed to an atrocious pair of bass bins and horns
on either side of the stage. it sounded absolutely awful. What a waste.
