Try uk.music.folk Lots of electrics in use in the folk world these
days.
I
believe "Bridge" are highly regarded - but what do I know, I'm a
melodeon
player?
As far as "acoustic" amps go, AER are about the best - allegedly. No, I
have
heard them and they are very good. Actually, those nice chaps on
uk.rec.guitar could probably recommend amps suitable for acoustic
guitar.
They should be fine for electric fiddle.
Thanks.

Just a follow up to my previous post.
I was at a ceilidh last night and spotted that the fiddle player was using
an electric. It had a very natural sound (actually like a violin!). So I
went and had a chat with her. It was in fact a Bridge. Apart from the
excellent sound she also pointed out that the Bridges are also nicely
weighted and balanced and apparently play like an acoustic fiddle. So 10/10
for them .
I don't know where you are, but if you have a branch of "The Music Room"
nearby, I know they stock both Bridge and AER.
