Correct - a push-pull 845 design was *exactly* what I had in mind,
although about 60-70 watts seems a little kinder to the output
devices, and you're clearly not informed about the B+ rail
requirements.

The point was, after all, to prove that even a simple valve design
*can* be made linear if you know what you're doing! Essentially, a
Nagra amp at asensible price. It will of course sound just like my
Krell, or my Audiolab 8000P, or a Yamaha AX-592, but that's not a bad
thing, just an extravagance.
