I forgot to say that the main sources are DVD, SACD and DVD Audio discs.
Music: popular classics (Beethoven, Tchaikovsky etc), Rock (Pink Floyd,
Queen, Clapton, etc) - Movies: All!
Welly.

I would look at slightly larger speakers instead of limiting yourself to
small satellite, music playback requires speakers with a bit more
low-end..sure you can divert upper bass to sub, but that means sub is
reproducing higher..along with any negatives with doing so.

The JBL's will be "different" to the Eggs, but not like you're upgrading
from Bose to JM Lab Electra range ;-)

Stand your ground and buy these! :-)

Two ranges to consider

The Castle CC3 range. Very nice looking with good performance

Monitor Audio Radius Range. Look very similar to the Castle, but have more options.
