If the belts have been sealed against air and kept out of the light,
they should be ok.

I was under the impression that they degraded internally, but I can go
with that if you say so. Any idea where I can get a set?

I recently fitted a NOS Sony one to a reel to reel and that was fine.

Have you checked CPC?
