Hi, I'm from Holland and I would like to ask you people something, but first
of all: my apologies for my bad English.
Let's get to the point. I've a Quad 99 Pre and a Quad 99 Power, a Myryad
Z-110 cd-player, a Creek OHB-21 headphone amplifier and a Sennheiser HD-650,
I do not have loudspeakers yet but I have a shortlist containing five
brands/models and I'm going to listen to them soon.
But I do not have a tuner yet. And I'm looking for a good tuner, but it
doesn't need to be as expensive as the Quad 99 FM (which even can't be used
without a Quad 99-system), and so I thought about the Myryad Z-130.
My questions a
Is this Myryad a good tuner?
Are there any better tuners in the same pricerange (in euro's, let's say
something about 300 - 500 euro's), for instance the Micromega Minium FM or
the Marantz ST-6000, a Rotel or maybe something else?
What are your impressions of the Myryad and other tuners?
My favourite music is classical music, especially symphonies and piano.

I know, quite a lot of questions for a first-timer, but I hope you people
can help me out.
In advance of the answers: thank you all very much for your help.
Get yourself a Denon TU260 MK2 and enjoy!, excellent unit performs very
well indeed. I know where some of them are used for rebroadcast purposes
even
Or if you can a second-hand Audiolab T8000, Yamaha 9000, REVOX B261 all
very good indeed, or a Trio KT917 if you can find one

)
BUT even more important INVEST in a good aerial system no bloody
"rabbits ears" bit of Twin flex stretched between the speakers etc.
Get a UNIX or ANTIFERENCE and not the Maxview stuff sold in the DIY
sheds, and use a good downlead, CT100 the stuff used for satellite
instals and do your level best to find someone who knows how to put it
all together. If your in the UK
www.wrightsaerials.co.uk will show you
how it shouldn't be done at least!.
Whatever you do avoid DAB, its ****e squared, even Radio 3 is stating to
suffer;((
