The basic version of the Azur 640a do not have a phono card, an additional
card is availible for about £20 (This card only amplifies enough for Moving
Magnet pickup. If The LP 12 has an Moving Coil pickup mounted, there will
not be enough amplification! -- Hence seem to be quite silent even when the
volume at 11)

I cant find any info about the Rotel unit but given my expeience with other
Rotel Units I belive that if it's fitted with any phono input it will be of
the Moving Magnet version.

To solve the problem the buyer might need to buy a step-up transformer to
insert between the amp and player..
