Default Big day for me (well, kind of...)

Well, here's the one a few of you have been waiting for!! :-)

A brief trip into ukrm yesterday has highlighted to me just how 'past it
all' I am with Usenet these days - I posted a 'swap ad' there and got the
usual (and not entirely unexpected) 'clever dick' responses from a couple
of silly little people showing off and trying to look clever! OK, no
bother (standard procedure), but the *problem* is I wasn't able to ignore
it entirely and found myself settling into a nice little bit of
argy-bargy....!! :-)

Then I thought OK, it *really* is time for a Reality Check......

The rate of posts there is *staggering*, btw - just hitting 'synchronise'
to get posts slugged my machine down to a crawl and they just keep
coming!! How anyone can cope with as many as a thousand posts a day
(apparently, I'm told) I simply can't imagine - makes it look a bit
feeble in here, I can tell you!! (Actually it's ridiculous, but there you
go!)

Anyway, it's done me some good as it's made me realise just how much time
I'm wasting now with what has, essentially, become a futile occupation.
I've taken my investigations into 'audio' about as far as I want and I
think it's been a while since I had anything really useful to say in
here. Also, my own direct email correspondents have had short shrift for
a while now - due to the time I've spent posting on the group, so I'm
going to try and 'break out' and will be unsubscibing from here as soon
as I've seen this post appear. (I've been leading up to it for a while
now, as a few here know from direct emails and I've already offloaded the
webpages in preparation!)

So, many thanks to one and all for what fun/help has been forthcoming
here and deepest apologies to those who couldn't see the 'funny side' and
who feel they have been personally affronted (I'm sure they'll get over
it ;-) and a cheery farewell to all!! :-)

(Pleased to hear from anyone direct if anyone needs/wants to contact me
for any reason - goes without saying.).

Have: a) fun, b) a Happy Christmas, c) a Happy New Year and d) a Good
Life!!

So long all... ;-)

Keith G(arratt)

(If I *can't* control the urges, I'll sneak back with dark glasses on
sometime in the future - under a pseudonym!! ;-)

What makes this ng interesting is the wide spectrum of folk, ,its a pity
(mosty) if it changes but I can understand your sentiments. Been good
knowing ya Keith, cheers and what ever you do enjoy it, take care & so
long.

Mike
I'll watch out for Inspector Clueso in the dark glasses ;-)

Keith,

Keep well. and
Keep in touch:-)
