I'm trying to divide a very large mp3 dance mix (which lasts 100 mins
plus) using SoundForge v. 5 so that I can burn it onto two separate
discs. Problem is, the PDF Help File is like a flamin' encyclopedia and
I'm struggling to extract the precise instructions from it for what I
need to do.
There surely must be a simple MP3 editing proggy available for a PC? I
don't use a PC, but have got an excellent one for mine - but it only does
Wave. It draws out the waveform for you, and you then highlight the part
you want. Then listen to it and trim the in/out points if needed. Then
simply copy it out. Ideal for topping and tailing LP tracks when
transferring to CD.
Trouble with many of the excellent progs like Soundforge and Cooledit is
the learning curve even for simple operations.
