Default Mordaunt Short 55Ti- any info please?

I've had the MS 55Ti s from new for about twenty years. I am about to
change my amplifier and don't want to blow the cones out. I am going to
use fuses to limit the current but I don't know is what power
these speakers were designed to handle. I am usually good at keeping
manuals but can I find this one? Google and other searches have found
nothing. MS site only has current kit.

Can anyone help? I just need the power rating. I know that the average
impedance is 6 ohm.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the excellent information. Very reassuring. I now have a 200 wpc
(yes genuine rms) amplifier feeding the speakers. I was getting fed up with
them because they lacked sparkle and bass solidity. And then... With the new
amp, which replaced a 65 wpc Marantz, the sound is just wonderful. Even the
last remaining son (at home that is), who is an audiophile in the making,
was impressed, and he is difficult to please. Just shows that what people
say about needing plenty of power overhead is really true.

So no fuse, and none needed. Ta!
