I love Cool Edit 2000, but on this subject, it has it's limits. I prefer to
'hand' record to MP3 by input from my hi-fi, rather than rip. Some CDs
though, even with the soundcard input level control on the floor at 0
decibels, the level is still too high. Then I have to use CDEX, which allows
me to set limits before the rip.
