Default Where can I buy bits for making my own interconnects

Con I do this and get good results? I have a sroldering iron and a bit of
experiance and have a few components that can only neatly be joined with
custom cables

For example, my pc to vcr needs scart to 2*3.5mm for sound in/out and and
2*phono for video both ways. (Most my audio cables aren't that complex)

Is there somewhere I can buy, say, 10m of decent quality interconnect cable
and a variety of plugs (rca, jack plugs, scart, s-vid amongst others) plus
get the pin-out diagrams showing what to solder to what?

I'd prefer an online shop, since I live in a small town.

Maplins.
Radio Spares (RS)
Canford Audio (have EVERYTHING, but are expensive).

The scart cable would probably be too much trouble to make. Should be
available off-the-shelf quite cheaply.
