Mate, you got ripped off! You could have got a McIntosh sound system
for £20000.
And they would have thrown in a 3.0 litre car with All Wheel Drive as well ...

We call it the Legacy here, and it's a barge, damn near as big as my
A6. BTW, I don't know where you live, but it costs a basic £27,500
here in the UK against £24,125 for the basic A3 3.2 Sport Quattro,
which is hardly a bargain.
No, over in the land of cricketing sporting success (the Ashes series is coming
up soon), the Liberty (Legacy) 3.0 is £21k and the Audi A3 3.2 Quatro is £30k
And the GT version of the Legacy is a grown ups WRX ...
I wouldn't mind a Legacy myself, with 180kW of power on tap, and it
looks more grown up than a WRX.
But why the A3? Mid life crisis?
There's only two of us, my existing A6 was too big, A3 easier to park
in town and practical, being a hatchback, TT too harsh.
I don't know, there is something about a white-haired pensioner driving a
hatchback that isn't quite right ...
Don't confuse
the new A3 3.2 with the old S3. I had one of those too (briefly!), and
the 3.2 is a *vast* leap in refinement, having the same pace, better
handling *and* better ride, much less NVH and a generally nicer
interior. Truly, a gentleman's express. Mine is even in mumsy lilac
(Akoya silver to the marketing guys), so people wave the poor old
white-haired pensioner out of the lane, where if I drove a Boxster,
I'd have to sit there all day! It's only once I've blasted past half a
dozen cars in the first mile that they realise what a Q-car it really
is.............
If you wanted street cred, you could have got an Impreza WRX. I hear the sonic
blue colour scheme goes well with tartan caps in your part of the world ...
