I wouldn't have thought so for low-end systems. they all have to use
mass-produced chips for D-to-A conversion, and the chips probably cost about
£1-£2.

Still, you could always buy both from Argos, listen to them, and take back
for a refund the one you don't like.

By the way, some digital radio stations are available on Freeview set-top
boxes; you don't need a DAB radio for them. As digital TV STBs are cheaper
than DAB radio receivers (odd, isn't it?) that's worth noting. The Freeview
radio stations are below.
