Yes, but unfortunately it's a crap one. And if the only input to it
is through a mic socket, that's I'm afraid going to be even crappier.

If you MUST use the laptop, look at a USB (just about adequate but
obsolete) or Firewire audio interface. If there's a desktop machine
around, use that. Even on a SoundBlaster card, Line In is pretty good
quality (though Mic In is still very questionable).
