Default Old Roberts radio question

Maplin shops should have them - my local one does.

Anyone recommend a power supply which would work with this model? The
"cheapie" that I have won't do LW/MW as the radio sounds like an angry
wasp when on A/C. I suspect something like a poorly regulated supply
but Robert's claim that their current supplies would not work with this
model - anyone agree of able to say "yes they do"?

Has it two PP9s? If so, I've a feeling they are wired in series to get
more power output. If so you'll need an 18 volt mains adaptor.
