I bought my two azur640Ts about a year ago. I noticed, almost at
once, that from time to time they would lose signal and then freeze up,
making no further attempt to reacquire the signal. They both behaved
the same way, though they failed at different times. To get them to
retune I had to switch to another channel (on a different multiplex)
and back again. This used to happen on average once every 30-40 hours
of listening.
Richer Sounds swapped them, but the mew ones were just the same. On
the forum I found out that many people had the same trouble. CA then
said they were soon gong t orelease a fix. After a year of waiting
CA did release a new version which fixed the 'lost signal' problem. I
now have two of these new units - swapped by Richer Sounds.
You can tell if you have the old or new one by pressing and holding in
for 2 seconds the "info" button. This will display the version
number. V2.0 is the old one. V3.0 is the new. V3.0 also has a yellow
dot on the carboard box.
Although V3.0 fixes the "lost signal" problem it introduced a new
problem, but not a very bad one. When the system is in standby mode it
will, after a random time, suddenly switch on the light on the display.
I've got used to it now. Other people (on the forum) had noticed the
same. V2.0 did not do this.
