I've found where I bougfht these belts - it was a company called CPC.

According to the service manual the part numbers are 81-507-225-01 "Rubber
belt B" and 81-507-216-01 "Rubber belt A". They don't seem to list these
parts at the moment but they might be able to help you. In 2002 the pair
cost me about £18 inc VAT & p+p. Good luck!

Thanks for this information Tony as the part numbers are proving invaluable
in my search.

One question I have is which Rubber belt is it, A or B, that is from the
pulley on the motor spindle? It's the one at the rear of the mechanism
looking from the from of the cassette deck.

Also do you have any details of how to fit these belts and what components
will require to be stripped down to do so?
