Nigel, forget all this 'Watts' rubbish with speakers - it's just a supposed
'maximum power handling' rating and totally misleading anyway. The
difference between 6 and 8 ohm impedance is not significant (in 90% of
applications in any case) and will only affect the maximum loudness to a
small, insignificant, degree. Just try all your different speakers and use
the ones that sound best. I would take the claimed 2 x 80W RMS (??) power
figures with a (big) pinch of salt but just use your loaf - don't run them
into distortion (amplifier clipping) and all should be fine.
