At a guess they may be 10" Super RSDD (that's roll surround doped
diaphragm)

They are actually 12" units...did they do a 12" Super RSDD around

1975 ?

Wharfedale (please observe the H) is now part of the IAG group

based
in Huntingdon and IMSMC still repair old original kit - you can

but
ask.

Thanks, I would expect Wharfedale (with the 'h' ) to insist on doing

the
repairs rather than sending out parts. I will try them. I'll check

them out.
They may, at least, have some info on the driver specs.

Otherwise try Castle Acoustics in Skipton. The Co. was set up -

again
IMSMC - by a chap called Cliff Collinson who worked for Gilbert

Briggs
at Wharfedale at about the time it was taken over by Rank and I

think
had much to do with the design of the 8" and 10" RSDD drive units.

As
Castle build their own units they may be able to help.

Again. thanks for the lead.

Jo

The size was that of the cone, and as you stated your cone was 247mm
across I would make that a 10"?
