I should get a copy of John's book, think I will suggest it to my better
half as a birthday idea, she normally buy's me usefull things like cheap
screw driver sets.

Actually thats a tad unfair, the cheep screwdrivers have become a bit of
a running joke.

Getting the new phono working, still a bit of hum to track down (as
ever), but I am quite stunned just how low noise these E810F pentodes
are, huge Gm (50ma/v) and a equivilant noise of about 100R. And they are
cheap and easy to find..
