Anybody know anything about these or had any experience of one?

I threw a small 'chancer' sum at a new* one on eBay and won it. Google
doesn't come up with much that makes sense and there's no mention that I
could find on the somewhat crappy Goldring site - the only 'information' I
could find was this entry in a Canadian forum (Toronto Audiophiles):

"The Goldring Electro 2 was made from 1982 until 1992. It was a high output
moving coil (2-2.5 mv). It tracks best at 2 grams and likes medium to low
compliant arms. This cartridge retailed at $650. but were cleared out at the
end of their run for $249. These cartridges were very smooth and musical."

(The auction made a point of stressing *low output*, but no biggie - it's OK
either way.....)
