Hi all,

I have a Kenwood KDC 7090R and I've recently run into problems with
the display - the backlighting has cut out (the rest of the unit works
fine)

After doing a bit of searching I ran across a few posts about the
ribbon cable breaking. I removed the unit to take a look and see if I
could replace the cable but the innards look far to delicate to be
playing around with so I'm not going to attempt it myself.

Has anyone had their 7090R repaired or know of a solution to this
problem ?

Anyway, upon re-installation, the unit now doesn't seem to want to
take the mask keys signal ?

Has anyone had the same problem or do they know where to point the key
! (i remember when I installed it, I spent 5 minutes trying to get the
unit to accept the keys code)
