In article ,
says...
Got mine hooked into an aux input... it definitely makes a big improvement.
A friend of mine is using an FM Modulator for an Xbox and it's not that
nice. The only problem I get is nasty amounts of inteference from my
inverter... gets picked up by the screen and the aux audio input
If your inverter has a seperate (on mine it is a wingnut) ground
connector, connect it up.
Mine has the usual long + and - wires, but I got lots of Alternator/Fuel
pump type whine. I then grounded the the motherboard, PSU and Inverter
to the same gorund, and lost a lot of that. Now all I get is FM crackle
from the cheap (about £40ish) modulator. i've tried a ground loop
isolator. That made more noise than the bare modulator did, so i have a
feeling it is an FM noise than Ground noise problem. Really need to try
a decent headunit.
