I have a 99 Mondeo (T), I want to replace the existing Ford head unit

Sony CDX-MP30.
After doing a bit of research I now know I need a fascia adaptor.
Question is, which one as most online retailers list two types for the
Ford
Mondeo, FP-07-02-S and FP-07-02.
Also would it be a straight swap regarding the rear connectors as I hope

swap the head units over myself to save a few quid and I am a total
novice?

Sorry, I forgot to add does the "S" variant simply stand for Silver, there
is no actual difference in size?


You will need a Ford to DIN wiring harness to make the swap totally
painless.

No difference apart from the colour with the adapters...
