this isn't a car audio thing, but you people seem to have done slimilar
before...
building a motorhome ,and i'm having all the entertainment equipment
hidden
when the van's not in use,
for the TV and DVD player, i'm building a set of cupboards, one of them
will
have the Tv and DVD played in it, the others will be for clothes storage,
there will be doors on all the cuboards which open upwards,
for the one with the TV behind it, i want to have this door open
electricaly,
it'll be remotely ontrolled using an infa red remote reciever set to a
certian code on the TV's remote,
so i need to door to open when it recieves a pulse, and close when it
recieved a pulse again, seen a circuit to controll the motor like that,
but
i just need the best way to use the motor and make it work with the door..
and be hidden.
I was thinking of using a cars rear windscreen wiper motor, and having a
limit switch to interpt the power when the door is fully open or closed,
inbetween the motor runs as normal, operating the arm the through a lever
or
2, pushes the door open,
but how to implement this is eluding me slightly.
rather than re-invent the wheel, has anyone done this before? or know of a
web site that goes through how to motorise doors, shelfs etc???
Electric window motor would be better possibly.
