I didn't turn off the unit when disconnecting the rear speakers and so the
electronics didn't 'know' I'd done this, hence the fader option stayed live.
Of course the presence of Rear speakers is sensed - DOH!

In the Focus, it doesn't matter if the speakers are connected or not, so

Fader function isn't sensing the presence of rear speakers. There is an
additional cable present on the power connector in the Focus that I have

assume is the key to this feature, what do I need to do to replicate this
connection in the Fiesta? Testing says it's an earth link only, but simply
supplying an earth doesn't do the job.

Can anyone shed any light on this???
